Christian worship joyfully ascribes all praise and honor, glory and power to the triune God. In worship the people of God acknowledge God present in the world and in their lives. As they respond to God's claim and redemptive action in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and renewed. In worship the faithful offer themselves to God and are equipped for God's service in the world. (Directory of Worship W-1-1001)
Because worship is the central activity of our lives together in the church we offer two opportunities each Sunday for you to join us in worship. They provide different opportunities for time frame and for styles of worship. We hope one of them works for you.
At 10:30 AM each Sunday morning is our traditional worship service. This is a service with traditional hymns, formal liturgy, organ and most Sundays an anthem by our wonderful choir. You will find people here dressed in blue jeans and t-shirts, casual shirts and slacks and some in suits. We want you to be comfortable for worship.
Our chancel choir blesses us most Sunday mornings in the traditional service. They do an amazing job and are greatly appreciated.
At 5:00 PM each Sunday is our Second Chance Service. This service is contemporary in style with more modern worship music accompanied by guitar. The scripture and message are different from the morning service and the service is less formal. This is a "come as you are" opportunity. This service is in the fellowship hall rather than in the sanctuary and a time of fellowship and snacks follows.
Please join us for one of these opportunities for worship at your earliest convenience.
